There is no catch! If we are repairing your vehicle we are more than happy to provide you with a Replacement vehicle for the entire duration of repairs. The duration may include claim handling time, insurance assessment and physical repair time. We provide replacement vehicle as a value added service to our Professional Panel Beating and Spray Painting service.

How many Loan cars do you have?

We operate a substantial fleet of loan cars. Our cars are regularly updated to new or near new vehicles. The total number of loan cars fluctuates from time to time but there are usually about 40 late model loan cars available for use.

Do you repair Damaged or Written Off vehicles to use as loan cars?

No, Not at all. Our loan cars are either purchased brand new or near new pre-owned vehicles. In the event of a loan car being badly damaged in an accident, we will only repair it if appropriate and following the same strict quality guidelines we follow when repairing your vehicle.

Do you offer roadside assist in the event of break downs?

All of our loan car are regularly maintained, serviced and inspected to ensure they are in good serviceable condition and free from break downs. If a loan car does break down we operate our own internal roadside assist. Call us on 1300 622 120 (24 Hours) and we will arrange a replacement loan car to be delivered to your location, as promptly as possible, and swapped with the broken down loan car. We strive to keep you continually mobile while we repair your vehicle.

Do you charge my Insurance Company for the loan car?

No we do not charge your insurance company or any other party for our replacement vehicle. They are free and any cost relating to their general upkeep is covered by us. (Fuel and other running costs, eg: tolls or fines, are the responsibility of the individual or company using our loan car)

Are your loan cars insured?

Yes, our loan cars are Fully Comprehensively Insured.

How much is the insurance claim excess?

If our loan car is damaged whilst in your care and the damage results in an at fault claim with our insurance company, under the terms and conditions of our loan agreement there is an excess of $2000 to be paid. There may be a reduction of this excess if your company or insurer has negotiated different terms and conditions for their clients usage of our loan cars.

If you are involved in an accident in our loan car please ensure you obtain the full vehicle, owner and driver details of all parties involved. Also write a brief description of the date, location and events surrounding the accident as this information can often be difficult to recall accurately later on.

How do you handle damage to you loan cars?

As part of our loan agreement we inspect and note any existing damage to our loan vehicles prior to the loan agreement commencing. At completion of the loan agreement we inspect the loan car for additional damage. The cost of any additional damage or in the event of an insurance claim, the applicable insurance excess or repair cost is bared by the individual or their company.

We are fair and reasonable in our approach to damage on our loan cars. In the event that there is additional damage of a minor nature we will only charge for the repairs not the entire insurance excess, additional administration fees or demurrage costs. We do not just 'pocket' this money we will actually repair our loan cars ensuring a good, safe, clean and damage Replacement vehicle experience for all of our customers.

  • What type of loan car do you have?

    We offer late model vehicles ranging from small hatchbacks to large station wagons. Toyota Camry, Toyota Corolla, VW Golf, Hyundai 130, Toyota Aurion, Ford Falcon sedan & wagon are the types of vehicles you can expect in our loan car fleet. (We do our best to match you vehicle type and size but on occasion we may not have an appropriate size match)

    Is there a long waiting list for loan cars?

    Generally No. But on occasion we might not have availability of an appropriate size match to your vehicle. We usually have several loan vehicles clean and on standby ready for use. In times of heavy workloads like storm/weather events or other, we may take bookings ahead of time for our loan cars.

    Are you loan cars covered with branding and signwriting?

    No they are not. Our loan cars are completely free from any branding, signage or artistic paintwork. You will not be driving a mobile marketing billboard advertising our brand, you will be driving a regular vehicle that will not standout in the traffic.

    What are the terms and conditions?

    Our terms and conditions are clearly outlined on our loan car agreement forms. They Are also listed below. You accept our terms and conditions by signing the agreement and commence using the loan car.

    Loan Car Terms & Conditions

    1. To return the vehicle in the same condition as received. I/we understand that a nominal fee may apply if the vehicle is returned in a very untidy state.
    2. To return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as received and I/We understand that there is no facility to charge/invoice for any shortfall.
    3. All Toll Road travel, Parking Costs or Fines, Speeding Fines or other infringements during the loan period are the responsibility of the above detailed driver and any infringements received will be forwarded to the above detailed driver.
    4. To indemnify Flagstaff Autobody against all claims and demands of injury, damage or loss arising out of the use by me or my agents and whether in respect of death or injury, to person/s or damage to property and to further indemnify Flagstaff Autobody against all costs resulting from any breach of the Road Traffic Act 1958 the Motor Regulations Act and or Municipal Authorities By Laws.
    5. Should the above detailed loan vehicle be damaged in any manner during the loan period and;
    6. such damage results in an Insurance claim, I/We understand the Comprehensive Insurance Cover on this vehicle involves the payment of excess by Flagstaff Autobody. I/We agree to pay Flagstaff Autobody the applicable excess of $2000 (inc GST) prior to the collection of my vehicle.
    7. such damage does not result in an insurance claim, I/we agreed to pay Flagstaff Autobody for any minor damage prior to the collection of my vehicle and also pay 3rd party damages if they arise.
    8. In the event of an incident, I/we will make every effort to collect full details of those involved.
    Do you clean and maintain you loan cars?

    All loan cars are washed and cleaned upon return ready for next use. We do a safety check between each use covering roadworthy items like tyres/lights and a function of windows, seats etc. If any defects are found the vehicle will be rectified before the next use. Our loan car management application manages when a loan car requires a full service to be performed and we are notified by Km's or time.

    We understand that our loan cars are used for a variety of purpose. We don't expect that they are returned perfectly clean but do request they are not left in a completely dirty state. If the loan car is returned in an completely dirty state there may be a nominal cleaning fee of up to $120 applicable.
